Hyde Park Center does not charge for our transportation program but we do ask that you make a contribution when you ride. A suggested donation for a ride to and from HPC, or to and from the grocery, is $3.00. The suggested contribution for going to the doctor or other destinations depends on the distance our driver takes you. Our Social Worker Susan can answer any questions you may have.
While we receive some funding for the transportation service from government sources and foundations, your individual contribution is so important to help keep the vehicles running in good condition, fill the gas tank and pay the drivers who get you to your destinations safely and on time.
We want everyone to benefit from this vital service regardless of their financial situation. Everyone needs to get safely to the doctor and grocery store.
