John David Kimes is a son, husband, and father. As the ninth of twelve children, John David was raised in Northeastern Indiana, where he attended Catholic schools from K-12 grade. After high school, he spent four years discerning the diocesan priesthood at the Pontifical College Josephinum as well as one year in religious life. Upon earning his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, he moved to Cincinnati in 2015. Shortly after, he was introduced to St. Cecilia’s as well as the young adult community, and has been involved ever since. He is now married to his lovely wife, Rachel, and they have three beautiful children. After four years of serving at Ruah Woods in Cincinnati, OH, and teaching all age ranges about Pope St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, John David comes to St. Cecilia’s with passion and zeal for furthering the mission of the New Evangelization. He possesses over ten years of experience in Catholic ministry, serving both youth and adults, which will aid him greatly as he now serves and accompanies the young adults and young families of the parish!
